Self-floating hose for swimming pools and manual pool cleaners

The self-floating hose for swimming pools It is a fitting designed to connect the pool cleaner head to the pool’s suction system. It enables debris settled on the pool floor to be removed using the suction force generated by the filter pump.

Its diameter of Ø38 mm is a size commonly used for manual pool cleaners, suction inlets and skimmer adaptors. Before placing your order, please check that the connections on the pool and the pool cleaner head are compatible with this diameter.

Available in various lengths

The range of self-floating hoses is available in various sizes to suit the dimensions of each swimming pool. This model is 9 metres long.

To select the correct length, measure the distance between the suction inlet and the furthest point of the pool, adding a small margin to allow the pool cleaner to be moved without the hose becoming excessively taut.

Terminals installed

The hose has two connectors to make it easy to connect. One end connects to the manual pool cleaner and the other to the pool cleaner inlet, the skimmer or the relevant adapter.

Durability and ease of use

Its self-floating design makes it easy to manoeuvre the pool cleaner and helps keep the hose close to the surface whilst cleaning.

The product specification also states that it is resistant to abrasion and UV rays – important characteristics for an accessory that is subject to dragging, contact with water and exposure to sunlight during maintenance work.

Recommendations for use

Before connecting the hose to the suction system, it must be filled completely with water to expel any air from inside it. This helps to maintain the pump’s priming and prevents suction losses.

After each use, it is recommended that you rinse it with clean water, empty it and store it without any creases. Incorrect storage may cause it to become misshapen, crack or let air in.
