The NICL standard complete recess is designed to integrate an underwater lighting system into new liner or polyester swimming pools.

It is fitted to the luminaire’s structure and provides the necessary mounting point for a compatible projector to be fitted at a later stage. As it is supplied without a lamp, it allows the professional to select the most suitable lighting solution for each project.

Designed for new swimming pools

This niche is particularly suitable for installations carried out during the construction or complete refurbishment of the pool.

Its installation must be planned before the cladding is completed and coordinated with:

• The position of the light source.
• Cable routing.
• The junction box.
• The transformer.
• The control system.
• The projector model to be installed.

It should not be confused with a replacement lamp holder, as the recess is the component that is built into the pool wall.

For liner and polyester swimming pools

The NICL model is intended for:

• Swimming pools lined with a liner.
• Prefabricated polyester swimming pools.
• New swimming pools that require a standard recess.
• Modifications involving the complete replacement of the bulb housing system.

The liner version features brass inserts, designed to provide fixing points for the assembly components.

Made from ABS with UV treatment

The body is made from high-strength ABS and has been treated to protect against ultraviolet radiation.

AISI 316 stainless steel fasteners are designed to offer greater resistance to moisture and the typical environmental conditions found around a swimming pool.

Compatible with PAR56 projectors

The Trypool technical specifications state that the niche is compatible with PAR56 spotlights.

Before choosing a projector, you should check the following:

No specific power ratings, colour temperatures or control systems should be added to this data sheet, as these depend on the chosen projector.

Fitting parts included

Trypool states that all the parts required for assembly are included.

To improve the product listing, a photograph should be added showing all the components supplied clearly. This will enable the professional to check the following before placing an order:

Professional installation

Installation must be carried out during the construction or refurbishment of the pool, in accordance with the position, depth and orientation specified in the plans.

• Ensure that the liner is not creased or subjected to uneven pressure.

Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel, in accordance with the technical documentation and the relevant regulations.

Terms of Use

The technical data sheet states:

• Maximum water temperature: 40 °C.
• Maximum depth: 2 metres.
• Maximum chlorine level: 2 mg/l.
• Maximum bromine content: 5 mg/l.
• Salinity by electrolysis: up to 6 g/l.
• Recommended pH: between 7.2 and 7.6.

Maintaining these parameters helps to minimise wear and tear on components and fasteners.

Maintenance

Although the recess is built into the swimming pool, during projector inspections it is advisable to check:

• Condition of the joints.
• Condition of the fasteners.
• Presence of moisture.
• Securing the projector.
• Cable entry and routing.
• Possible deformations of the ABS.
• Condition of the brass inserts.

Any damaged parts must be replaced before the lighting system is reassembled.
