2-inch wall-through fittings for swimming pools

The 2-inch pool wall-through fitting is designed to pass through the pool wall and facilitate the connection of compatible nozzles to the hydraulic circuit.

The PASAM model features a 2″ male threaded connection at the rear and a stated total length of 300 mm. Trypool states that the body can be cut to fit the depth of the pool and that it is designed for 2″ nozzles and Multiflow models. The brand’s catalogue specifies that it is suitable for concrete or liner pools.

Length can be adjusted to suit the thickness of the glass

Its adjustable length allows the part to be adapted to different wall thicknesses.

Before making any cuts, the fitter must measure the final thickness of the glass, taking into account:

• Structure.
• Coating.
• Stickers.
• Mortars.
• Finishing parts.
• Required depth for the nozzle.
• Space at the rear for the pipework.

The cut must be made at a right angle, cleanly and without distorting the body.

Sufficient length must also be retained to fit the nozzle, make the subsequent connection and ensure a watertight seal. A piece that has been cut too short may prevent correct fitting and should not be repaired using makeshift solutions.

The technical diagram of Trypool shows:

• Total length: 300 mm.
• Outer front diameter: Ø118.5 mm.
• Recommended rear internal diameter: 50 mm.
• Connections marked as 2″.
• Length dimensions of 250 and 175 mm.

These measurements must be transferred to the data sheet using a visual diagram, taking care not to confuse the external diameter with the bore diameter or the subsequent thread.

Installation in concrete or liner

In concrete swimming pools, the wall-penetration must be installed during construction, before the lining is completed.

In liner pools, the following should also be checked:

• Together.
• Flanges.
• Screws and bolts.
• Sealing system.
• Coating thickness.
• Compatibility with the nozzle.

General compatibility with the liner does not mean that all these components are included in the supply. This point must be confirmed before the content is published.

Preliminary checks

Before installing it, you must check the following:

1. Compatibility with the selected nozzle.
2. Thread type.
3. Pipe diameter.
4. Position of the connection.
5. Final thickness of the glass.
6. Space available behind the wall.
7. Required sealing components.

The anti-UV treatment recommended by Trypool helps to protect the ABS, but does not eliminate the need for correct installation or regular inspections.

During maintenance, it is advisable to check for any cracks, movement, water leaks or stress caused by the pipework. The installation must be carried out by a professional in accordance with the product’s technical drawing.
