Dual-jet rotating jet for hydromassage areas

The 2-jet rotary jet It is a component designed to create massage zones by dynamically propelling water in swimming pools and spas.

Unlike a fixed return nozzle, its two rotating jets distribute the water in different directions, creating a more extensive massage sensation and encouraging the water to circulate around the installation area.

Double rotating jet

The design incorporates two swivelling outlets that create a dynamic water flow. This mechanism allows the water flow to be distributed over a larger area than a conventional fixed nozzle.

The manufacturer specifies an operating flow rate of between 2 and 2.5 m³/h per jet. This value must be taken into account when calculating the total flow rate of the pump when several units are installed.

The jet body is not included

This product is the visible rotary jet and is supplied without the fitting body.

To complete the installation, you will need to purchase the compatible rotating jet housing separately. The housing is recessed into the wall and allows the jet to be connected to the pool’s or spa’s plumbing system. The AstralPool 20299 housing is suitable for single- and dual-jet rotating jets.

How to work out the installation costs

To select the correct pump and pipework, the following factors must be taken into account:

1. Total number of jets.
2. Flow rate required per unit.
3. Total flow rate of the circuit.
4. Manometric head.
5. Pipe length and diameter.
6. Pressure drops.
7. Number of elbows, valves and manifolds.
8. Simultaneous or zone-based operation.

For example, a system with four jets will require the combined flow rate of the four units to be calculated, in addition to the circuit losses. The pump should not be selected solely on the basis of its rated power.

Installation

The compatible component must be fitted during the construction or refurbishment of the pool, ensuring that its position, depth and orientation are correct.

Before assembly, the following must be checked:

• Type of pool lining.
• Compatibility between the jet and the body.
• Wall thickness.
• Seat positions or massage zones.
• Pipe diameter.
• Accessibility to the circuit.
• Available flow rate.
• Pump drive system.

The associated plumbing and electrical installations must be carried out by a qualified professional.

Maintenance

It is recommended that you check the following regularly:

• Free movement of the jets.
• Build-up of limescale or dirt.
• Condition of the joints.
• Leak-tightness of the joint with the body.
• Outlet flow rate.
• Abnormal noises or vibrations.
• Operation of the pump and the control system.

Cleaning must be carried out using products that are compatible with the jet’s material and without using any tools that could damage the swivel outlets.
