Product information

PVC-U 90° Tee, Ø50 mm, H-H-H, Glue-joint, PN16

The PVC-U 90° Ø50 mm elbow allows a hydraulic pipe run to be split or joined using three connections of the same diameter. The two main connections maintain the straight run, whilst the third creates a 90° perpendicular branch.

Its three female ends are designed to accommodate Ø50 mm pipework using adhesive bonding. This fitting is commonly used in swimming pool hydraulic circuits, filtration systems, plant rooms and water supply pipework made from pressure-rated PVC-U.

Key features

  • Same as the 90° elbow.
  • Made from PVC-U.
  • Three H-H-H female connectors.
  • Bonding.
  • Diameter of the three connections: Ø50 mm.
  • Nominal diameter: DN40.
  • Nominal pressure: PN16.
  • Colour: grey.
  • Reference: 01106.
  • Suitable for pressurised water pipes.
  • Packaging to be confirmed.

What is a PVC tee used for?

This fitting allows you to connect a new pipe to an existing run or join three sections of pipe within the same circuit.

It can be used for:

  • Create a lateral shunt.
  • Split a circuit into two branches.
  • Connect two branch lines to a main line.
  • Distribute the flow between different zones.
  • Modify or extend an existing installation.
  • Organise the connections within the plant room.

All three connections have the same diameter of Ø50 mm. Where the branch requires a smaller diameter, a reduced T-piece must be used.

Common applications

  • Swimming pool filtration systems.
  • Suction lines.
  • Supply and return pipes.
  • Distribution to nozzles or hydraulic components.
  • Connecting branch lines within plant rooms.
  • Systems with multiple circuits.
  • Pipe extensions or repairs.
  • Pressurised water pipes compatible with PVC-U.

The final suitability will depend on the pressure, temperature, the fluid being transported and the characteristics of all the components.

H-H-H connections for gluing

The designation H-H-H indicates that all three connections are female. Each pipe is inserted into one of the sockets and secured using a specific adhesive for PVC-U.

Manufacturers of PVC-U systems recommend using an adhesive suitable for the material and dimensionally compatible pipework.

The connection is permanent. If a branch line needs to be disconnected for maintenance work, three-piece couplings, detachable valves or other suitable fittings must be fitted.
