Product information

FX05 handrail to facilitate access to the swimming pool

The FX05 recessed pool handrail provides a point of support when entering and exiting the pool.

Its design features a front section that remains submerged in the water, enabling it to accompany the user during descent or ascent.

Made from AISI 316L stainless steel – recessed swimming pool handrail

The FX05 range is manufactured from AISI 316L stainless steel, a material commonly used in swimming pool fittings due to its resistance to moisture and corrosive environments.

The use of stainless steel does not eliminate the need for maintenance. The build-up of salts, chemicals or dirt can affect the finish and lead to surface rust.

Recessed version

This version is designed to be fixed by embedding it into the coping or structure of the swimming pool.

The manufacturer states that the built-in model includes an earth connection. This must be correctly integrated into the electrical installation or equipotential bonding system provided for the swimming pool.

Three sizes available – recessed pool railing

The FX05 handrail is available in three sizes to suit different configurations:

  • 1219 × 677 mm.
  • 1524 × 915 mm.
  • 1829 × 1153 mm.

The choice must be made taking into account:

  1. The height between the crest and the water level.
  2. The depth to which the front section must reach.
  3. The intended position for the user.
  4. The space available around the edge.
  5. The structure onto which the recesses will be fitted.
  6. Accessibility for carrying out the earth connection.

Professional installation

The handrail must be correctly levelled, aligned and secured to prevent it from moving whilst in use.

Before assembly, the following must be checked:

  • Distance between the anchorage points.
  • Depth of the recesses.
  • Surface resistance.
  • Position relative to the edge.
  • Earthing.
  • Compatibility with the lining.
  • Selected unit.

Installation must be carried out by a professional and must comply with the technical drawing for the variant.

Stainless steel maintenance

To maintain the handrail, we recommend:

  • Rinse it regularly with fresh water.
  • Remove limescale and salt deposits.
  • Use cleaning products that are compatible with AISI 316L.
  • Avoid using metal brushes and abrasive products.
  • Check that the unit is securely fastened and earthed.
  • Check the chemical balance of the water.
  • Clean salt-chlorinated swimming pools more frequently.
