The 44 cm curved pool brush It is a hand-held accessory designed for routine pool cleaning and maintenance tasks. Trypool recommends it to help remove dirt and algae build-up from both the walls and the bottom of the pool. Its 44 cm length allows it to cover a large area with each pass, making it ideal for use in residential and communal swimming pools, as well as other facilities maintained by professionals.
The product is used attached to a telescopic pole, allowing you to reach deep areas or those far from the edge without getting into the water. Before placing your order, it is important to check the pole’s attachment system, as the brush is available in two different versions: clip-on and wing nut.
The variation with clip fastening Use reference CEP44C. This system attaches via the corresponding buttons or tabs on a compatible pole and allows the brush to be fitted or removed without the use of tools.
The variation with wing nut fastening Use reference CEP44P. It is designed for poles fitted with a wing nut connection and must be securely fastened before starting to brush. Both versions are commercially available in boxes of 24.
A variant should not be selected solely on the basis of personal preference. The system chosen must be compatible with the type of pole available in order to prevent play, irregular movement or the accidental detachment of the brush during cleaning.
The curved shape helps to maintain contact whilst moving along walls and in areas close to the pool edges. Its width allows for efficient general cleaning, although it may be necessary to use a smaller brush for very tight corners, steps or features with unusual shapes.
To achieve an even result, it is recommended that you make slow, partially overlapping passes. On the walls, you can start at the top and sweep the dirt towards the bottom, where it can then be removed via the filtration system or with a pool cleaner.
Where algae are present, brushing helps to remove them from the surface, but it is no substitute for water testing and treatment. Parameters such as pH and the level of disinfectant must be checked in order to address the root cause of the problem.
The current documentation does not specify the material or the stiffness of the bristles. For this reason, it should not be advertised as suitable for all types of flooring.
Before using it on liners, reinforced sheeting, polyester, paint or other sensitive finishes, you should check for compatibility and carry out a test on an inconspicuous area. If the bristles are worn, misshapen or contain abrasive particles, the brush must not be used until it has been cleaned or replaced.
After each use, it is recommended that you rinse the brush with clean water to remove any traces of dirt and chemicals. It should be left to dry and stored away from direct sunlight, taking care not to place any weight on the bristles.
It is also advisable to check the fastening system regularly, ensure there are no cracks in the body and confirm that the brush remains securely attached to the pole before lowering it into the swimming pool.
