Quick cleaning of the pool surface

The flat pool leaf skimmer It is a hand-held accessory designed to remove leaves, insects and other debris that float on the water’s surface. Regular use helps prevent these items from settling on the bottom or being sucked up by the skimmers and the filtration system.

Its flat shape allows the net to be glided close to the surface and to collect light debris with gentle movements. It is suitable for the day-to-day maintenance of private, communal and hotel swimming pools, as well as other facilities managed by professionals.

To work comfortably from outside the glass, you can connect to a 3.6-metre telescopic pole or to a 4.8-metre telescopic pole, selecting the length based on the pool’s dimensions.

Clip-fastening system – Flat pool leaf skimmer

This model features a clip fastening, so it must be attached to a pole compatible with that system. The current document contains an incorrect reference to wing nut fastening, which should be removed.

Before placing your order, it is advisable to check which system the available pole uses. Whilst some poles are compatible with both types of connection, others are designed solely for clips or wing nuts.

The pole is not included with the leaf rake and must be purchased separately.

Recommended use

To collect the debris, the net should be lowered slightly below the surface and moved forward in controlled movements. Excessive speed may cause the leaves to move around the frame rather than being trapped inside it.

After each use, it is recommended that you:

• Empty out all the waste that has been collected.
• Rinse the net with clean water.
• Check the condition of the fabric.
• Check the clip system.
• Store the product out of direct sunlight when not in use.

It is not advisable to leave organic matter inside the net, as it can cause odours and stains and gradually damage the material.

Flat or in a bag?

The flat leaf rake is primarily designed for the rapid removal of debris close to the surface. When greater collection capacity is required, or to collect debris located deeper down, a bag-style leaf collector with clip fastening.

Both products can form part of the basic maintenance kit, along with a straight brush with clip fastening, designed to remove dirt stuck to walls and other surfaces.

Professional use

This accessory is suitable for maintenance staff, installers, housing estates, hotels and professionals who need to carry out frequent cleaning without using an automatic pool cleaner.

Using it regularly reduces the amount of debris that reaches the filtration system, although it is no substitute for cleaning the pool floor, brushing or checking the skimmers.
